We’re growing and hiring experienced, safety-minded team members for underground utility installation and horizontal directional drilling (HDD). We have immediate openings for:

· 1)- Skilled Laborer / Vac Trailer Operator

· 2)- HDD Drill Operator (Ditch Witch JT20)

· 3)- HDD Locator

1): Skilled Laborer / Vac Trailer Operator
Support HDD operations by operating a vac trailer for potholing/utility exposure and assisting the crew with day-to-day jobsite tasks.

Essential Functions

• Operate vac trailer for potholing and utility exposure
• Assist HDD crew with jobsite tasks
• Help locate and safely expose underground utilities
• Maintain equipment and keep jobsite clean and organized
• Work alongside operator and locator to keep production moving

Qualifications

• Experience running a vac trailer or similar equipment
• Construction or underground utility experience
• Reliable, shows up on time, and works hard
• Strong awareness of jobsite safety
• CDL is a plus (not required, but helps)

2): HDD Drill Operator (Ditch Witch JT20)
Operate a Ditch Witch JT20 (or similar) to complete HDD bores safely, accurately, and efficiently while coordinating closely with the locator and crew.

Essential Functions

· Operate a Ditch Witch JT20 drill rig

· Set up and complete bores safely and efficiently

· Coordinate with the locator to maintain line and grade

· Read prints, bore profiles, and job specifications

· Manage drilling fluids and tooling; perform daily maintenance

· Maintain production while meeting safety standards

Qualifications

· Experience operating a JT20 (or similar HDD rig)

· Strong understanding of underground utility work

· Ability to read plans and run a bore from start to finish

· Able to troubleshoot issues and keep the job moving

· Reliable, safety-focused, and ready to work

· CDL is a strong plus

3): HDD Locator
Use locating equipment to track the drill head, provide real-time guidance (depth/pitch/direction), and help the crew complete safe, accurate bores.

Essential Functions

· Operate locating equipment to track and guide the drill head during HDD operations

· Provide continuous, clear communication to the Drill Operator and crew (depth, pitch, direction)

· Read and interpret construction plans, bore profiles, and utility markings

· Identify, verify, and avoid existing underground utilities; support potholing/verification as needed

· Maintain accurate bore logs, depth readings, and as-built information per project requirements

· Work safely and efficiently, following company policies and job-site safety requirements

Qualifications

· HDD locating experience required

· Familiarity with HDD locating systems and field technology

· Ability to read plans and accurately interpret utility markings (811 awareness)

· Strong safety mindset; able to identify hazards and follow job-site safety requirements

· 2–4+ years in directional boring, construction, or underground utility installation preferred

· Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus)
