Equipment Operator-Solid Waste

Position: SW03 Equipment Operator

Department: Solid Waste

Starting wage: $21.98

Typical work hours: 40 hours per week, some overtime may be required.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision of the Supervisor or Landfill Foreman, operates and maintains a variety of complex heavy equipment, machinery and tools used for maintenance, construction and repair of boxes and box sites. Performs all work and duties required to maintain a safe, productive department. FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS. Typical shift, 4 days per week, 10 hour days.

Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Driver’s License Class B; may require Class H and Class N endorsements. Minimum of two years related experience required. Prefer landfill operation experience. Must have heavy equipment operator experience.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
