Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across local and regional routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
• Deliver a variety of freight types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers to multiple destinations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist with the setup and securement of loads on different trailer types, including roll-off containers or dump trucks when required

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission trucks preferred
• Proven experience operating various commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load securement and safe driving practices on route driving assignments
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using equipment like forklifts or manual methods when necessary
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation operations
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Physical ability to perform duties that may include lifting heavy loads and performing inspections in different environments
