Position Summary

CEWS is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class C Truck Driver to operate a 24–26 ft. box truck for the transportation of electronic waste and equipment to and from customer locations. This role involves both driving and warehouse support duties and requires compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.

This is a non-exempt position, and overtime will be paid in accordance with California wage and hour laws.

Essential Job Duties

• Operate a 24–26 ft. box truck with lift gate in a safe and lawful manner
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations
• Load and unload electronic waste materials, including items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies
• Navigate assigned delivery and pickup routes throughout Northern California, including high-traffic areas
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries
• Assist with warehouse operations when routes are completed early or as assigned
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Work in varying weather and environmental conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle
• Ability to perform job duties in a warehouse and outdoor environment

Work Schedule Requirements

• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Flexibility to work varying shifts based on business needs

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid California Class C Driver’s License
• Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A, B, or C)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• No major driving violations within the past five (5) years (including but not limited to DUI/DWI, reckless driving, hit and run, or leaving the scene of an accident)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and road test
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and driver log requirements
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-waste recycling, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Familiarity with Northern California delivery routes
