Landfill tipper experience, 2+ years of local CDL driving experience and a clean 7 year MVR required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer with manual transmission, including tipper trucks, flatbeds, lowboys, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles.
• Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment.
• Drive route-specific deliveries within the local area, maintaining punctuality and adherence to traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Manage freight securely during transit, ensuring proper load securement for safe delivery.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.

Experience

• Proven truck driving experience with a valid CDL A license with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Familiarity with various trailer types including tippers, lowboys, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving in a local setting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
